Adzuna wins ‘Best Public Sector Project’ award at the National Technology Awards 2019!

Adzuna is delighted to announce that the ‘Find a Job’ service has won the award for ‘Best Public Sector Project’ at the National Technology Awards 2019!

‘Find a job’ is the government’s new digital service that connects millions of jobseekers with thousands of employers online, and through job centres, around the UK. It’s one of the most used digital services in government, with 1.2 million registered jobseekers making 4 million visits each month, and is also a key part of the government’s digital agenda to provide easy online access to government services.

Adzuna worked in partnership with the DWP Digital team to deliver the core applications and infrastructure for the service, from contract award to service delivery, within an impressive five months timescale. This collaboration brought together Adzuna’s core job search product and market leading industry knowledge with the user- and data-led design expertise of DWP Digital. The result is a flexible, large-scale service that is improved iteratively, based on data and research. The service is operated by Adzuna’s in-house product team in collaboration with DWP Digital.

The National Technology Awards celebrate innovation and pioneers within technology and the ‘Best Public Sector Project’ award recognises technical innovation that helps to drive public services forward. With hundreds of entries into this category, and nine strong projects shortlisted, the Adzuna and DWP teams are thrilled to have won and receive recognition for the huge effort that has been made to improve the experience for the 1.2 million job seekers and 100,000 employers registered with the service.

Andrew Hunter, co-founder of Adzuna, comments: “This award provides a great platform for us to share how Adzuna is disrupting job matching and creating value in the GovTech space. We hope our involvement will open up new opportunities to leverage our user insights, AI-driven data, and industry expertise to propel us in our mission of using the incredible power of technology to help match jobseekers to better, more fulfilling and relevant jobs to keep Britain working.”

Congratulations to all of the hardworking people and teams involved!
