The job market continues to show signs of slowing down as vacancies fall below 1 million for the first time since February 2015. Advertised vacancies dropped 12.2% year on year and show little signs of recovery as Brexit uncertainty continues to unsettle the job market.

Charity, consultancy, engineering, logistics, retail, and property have all lost more than 1 in 5 jobs year on year. The manufacturing industry is also a significant casualty in the job market with a 15% drop year on year, as UK manufacturers record the sharpest drop in factory output for seven years.
