Last week Adzuna closed entries for the inaugural Best British Workplace award and turned our attention to the tricky task of selecting a shortlist of finalists. There was toing and froing, polite disagreements, and a lot of head-scratching, but we’ve finally settled on seven brilliant workplaces that will now vie against each other to be declared the overall Best British Workplace.
The Best British Workplace Shortlist:
Campus North, Newcastle (www.campusnorth.co.uk)
carwow, London (www.carwow.co.uk)
Crowdcube, Devon (www.crowdcube.com)
Frog Bikes, Surrey (www.frogbikes.com)
HelloFresh, London (www.hellofresh.co.uk)
L&Q, Kent (www.lqgroup.org.uk)
Secret Escapes, London (www.secretescapes.com)
With excellent entries from businesses of all shapes and sizes up and down the country, it was inevitable that we’d have to overlook some fantastic contenders that clearly had amazing workplaces that were cherished by their employees. On the upside, standards were so high that we’ve been able to celebrate a number of great businesses that we’re truly proud to give the Adzuna seal of approval.
While all our entrants showed they were committed to providing workplaces that allowed their employees to prosper, over the next month we’ll be taking a much closer look at what set our shortlisted businesses apart from the rest of the pack. We’ll also be revealing the independent, external judge that will determine the overall Best British Workplace.
