And being the tech aficionados that we are, we’ve made it our mission to keep you guys informed on\u00a0the who’s-who of\u00a0the tech industry. We were recently asked to name some of the young female bosses who are taking the tech industry by storm and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the number of women working in tech has grown by leaps and bounds!\u00a0After a lot of deliberation, we’ve zeroed in on 10 super young, uber cool bosses that today’s generation would definitely love to work for:<\/p>\n

Meet the woman behind one of the world’s biggest global crowd-funding platforms. Ringlemann co-founded Indiegogo in January 2008 to democratise fundraising. After graduating from college, she found herself working at Wall Street and realised how difficult it was for independent artists to find money. This inspired her\u00a0to dedocate herself to empowering artists, small entrepreneurs and activists with the right tools and the right platform, giving rise to Indiegogo – an Internet\u00a0platform where anyone (including you) could raise money for a project or an idea. Before launching Indiegogo, Ringlemann was a securities analyst at Cower & Co. and handled entertainment companies such as Disney, Lionsgate and Pixar.\u00a0Deemed to be amongst the top 50 most influential women in tech, she speaks regularly at events for TedX.<\/p>\n

CFO and Operations lead at Square – an app that lets you accept credit card payments if you have access to a smart phone, Friar was named ‘Financial Woman of the Year’ in 2014. Before collaborating with Square, she was the SVP of finance and strategy at salesforce.com. She even worked with Goldman Sachs for over 10 years . Some of the more interesting work she’s been involved in include sitting on the boards of ModelN, and Spark – a non-profit focused on changing the lives of at-risk middle schoolers through mentorships.<\/p>\n

Known to be the rising star in the tech industry, Bashir’s start-up Peek brought\u00a0on board two super-famous investors and tech executives themselves – Jack Dorsey of Twitter, and Eric Schmidt – chairman of Google.\u00a0Peek is an app that curates high-quality activities across the globe for when you’re travelling and let’s you book them easily via a computer, phone or tablet. Her aim was to make travel and its planning more enjoyable, given she herself has a passion for travel and has been to over forty countries! After graduating with an MBA and a Fulbright Scholar from Harvard, Bashir went on to work with the Gilt Groupe, Art.sy, the Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs before she went on to create Peek.<\/p>\n

TracyChou – Senior Software Engineer at Pinterest\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you love Pinterest and its layout, you should definitely know of one of the company’s most senior software engineers.\u00a0Chou is also known for being vocal about issues of low representation of women in technology companies, and pressured companies to reveal more statistics about the composition of their workforce – gender and diversity included. It’s her passion to educate women on the possibility of a career in tech and see as many women taking up careers like these which are currently dominated by her male counterparts. Before joining forces with Pinterest, Chou worked at Quora and interned at at both – Google and Facebook.<\/p>\n

She also is the co-founder and artistic director of The Sa Dance Company, which she founded in 2009, back when she used to be a professional dancer, apart from also being a consultant at Bain and Company after graduating from MIT. Her fitness empire is currently worth over $400 million.<\/p>\n

She’s on a mission to give the beauty business a high-tech makeover with her service, which is currently the largest online marketplace for beauty and wellness services. Before founding StyleSeat, she worked with CurrentTV and was in charge of digital distribution. Apart from that, she’s\u00a0a mentor for the Thiel Fellowship and acts as an advisor for Stanford Business School’s Silicon Valley Project. Fast company also listed her as one of the most creative professionals.<\/p>\n

She been honoured as one of Fortune’s 40 under 40 business leaders and also Inc’s 35 under 35.<\/p>\n

Roxanne Varza! Prior to this, she led Microsoft’s start-up activities in France, where she was in charge of both Bizspark and Microsoft Ventures programs for 3 years. Varza also worked for the French government’s foreign direct investment agency which helped fast-growing startups develop their base in France. She has moderated and mentored innumerable startup events and programs throughout Europe and also helps select startups with content and communications.\u00a0Varza\u00a0been listed amongst the top 30 women under 30 in the world of tech.<\/p>\n
