Working to implement a fund's investment strategy, you will be aware of risk and overseeing a clients' investments, advising them on their current investments and creating portfolios on their behalf. You will be expected to carry out due diligence and adhere to the increasing levels of legislation within the industry, operating transparently at all times and communicating your actions to your clients and colleagues.
You will be expected to make authoritative decisions about investments in your portfolios after intensive research not just of the global financial markets, but also of companies you are investing funds into.
By managing the asset allocation of funds, your true aim is to create the largest return on investment possible for your clients. In order to do this, you will adjust the funds based on the actions of the markets and on the advice of colleagues. By building and managing relationships with experts in the financial markets, you will be able to offer advice to your clients that is ahead of the curve.
Your key responsibility is to create optimum returns on investment for your client, achieving their goals. You will constantly update, refine and improve your client portfolios, thanks to intensive levels of research and a thorough understanding of the markets.
The plan and strategy laid out for each portfolio must be communicated at all times to investors. As a responsible and hugely trustworthy individual, you must be able to convey your confidence and expertise to clients as, at times, it's possible that you will be handing millions and millions of their Pounds in funds. You assess each and every risk, calculate the returns and take action accordingly.
