You will be expected to negotiate the best possible deal for them.
With a penchant for sales as well as excellent customer service, you will guide the client through each stage of the mortgage application, offering advice on filling in the application forms and dealings with the lender. As with any position working with the financial industry, you will be expected to be knowledgeable of and compliant with banking and finance laws.
As you are working on behalf of the client, it's essential that you use your excellent communication skills to guide them towards the right product, ensuring the language and terms you use are understood.
You will advise clients on all aspects of house buying, including purchase costs including stamp duty. As an industy expert you must ensure you keep up-to-date with new products and services being offered. As with any financial you must be aware of any changes in industry regulations and legislation regarding mortgages and tax.
