An energetic metropolitan borough in the West Midlands of England, Coventry is one of the UK's largest cities and is thus home to all sorts of wonderful attractions.
It is an ancient city that predates its much younger neighbours Birmingham and Bristol and it seems Coventry grew out of a large Bronze Age settlement. So, it goes without saying that the region is positively brimming with history. You'll get a taste of it in places like the centuries old Arbury Hall and the historic Baggots Castle. For a contemporary slice of Coventry culture, the Belgrade Theatre has an always-excellent line-up of plays and productions.
Another odd bit of trivia about Coventry is that it is the first twin city in the world. This landmark was achieved when it formed a relationship with the Russian city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) way back in WWII.
