A cosmopolitan and wonderfully striking city, Leicester offers a host of excellent facilities as well as places to be explored. Full of history, many of the ancient Roman pavements and baths still remain in the region.
The city is full of all kinds of attractions, from the truly spectacular to the more quaintly charming. The National Space Centre certainly falls into the former category and boasts real rockets and interactive exhibits.
History buffs are sure to love Bosworth Battlefield where King Richard III lost his life and will also marvel at the magnificence of Belvoir Castle. Family friendly attractions are also to be found in abundance in Leicester and can include a day at the National Forest or Twycross Zoo, which proudly boasts one of the world's largest primate collections. Leicester is also one of the most culturally diverse places in the whole of the UK and, as of 2008, some 70 different languages and dialects were being spoken in the area.
