The Somerset town of Weston-Super-Mare lies on the coast just beyond the estuary of the River Severn and is about 15 miles south-west of Bristol. Weston is served by the M5 motorway and has good rail links to Bristol, with trains running every half hour.

The town is famous for its sandy beaches, Grand Pier, donkey rides, sand sculpture festival and annual 'Enduro' motorcycle beach race. As well as traditional sea-side fun, the town has its Playhouse Theatre, Odeon cinema, helicopter museum and golf course. Local landmarks include the 40-foot high 'Wheel of Weston', the SeaQuarium and the town's Winter Gardens.
