“Great pay, good colleagues, terrible work/life balance”

Great compensation, highly competitive pay Excellent staff package that you would expect from a big company – usual pension scheme and healthcare benefits Generally my colleagues are good to work with and nice people, who are ready to give support to help you settle in to a new contract. When unexpected personal/social events have cropped up I've been lucky enough to be able to take the time off at fairly short notice, (this is not true of everyone though!)

Incompetence in certain high up positions affects people below them This type of work works when you have two weeks on and two weeks off. However not enough staff are taken on for this to be put in place hence this structure does not exist here and it's chaotic and impossible to plan your life. Also when you work on the rigs there should be more control and observation and management of what's happening. You can get suddenly turned away from one rig and randomly sent to another one and nobody is able to tell you why. Something should be done to improve morale.

Micromanagement would be unheard of here, let alone unusual

“Worked with some great people at Baker Hughes. However god forbid if you are not in the click group.”

some friendly people

If your face doesn't fit and you aren't part of the jobs for the boys group you are in for a torrid time. HR and Mangement Victimise and Bully you to the extent that you become mentally ill. When you report it to higher up in the command they try to pay you to leave the company. If you work here make sure you file everything

No matter how hard you work you get no thanks for it. If you apply for other jobs in there they always give it to someone who is in the golf click. It never goes to the best suited candidate.
