Pros : There is much to learn at Capgemini, making every day interesting. The company has several different branches and offices, making it easy to find support from other employees when it comes to your daily tasks. There is a strong focus and determination when it comes to customer service, which is why the company has such a good reputation in the market.
Cons: There is quite a bit of pressure to work more than forty hours per week. This puts a lot of strain on workers who have families at home. Also, there isn’t the recognition one would expect after putting in so many hours. Office politics often get in the way of career growth as well.
Unusual thing: You might just get to see the world! There is a lot of opportunity for relocation should you desire to do so.
I really enjoyed the working culture and environment here, my colleagues were great and became my friends. The projects offered a lot of variety which kept the job interesting. The work life balance at this company is good, the company prioritises this for its staff. The support structure in place is very good, there was always someone I could go to for help and advice. Working hours were ok, this could vary depending on the project but generally reasonable, salary was reasonable too.
Sometimes the ambiguity as to what project you would be working on next was a concern, but on the plus side this variety keeps the job of consulting interesting.
The uncertain nature of consulting can mean sometimes there is personal conflicts between your contacts and resources.
