Perks of the location are a staff gym and excellent food in our canteen. There is a good graduate scheme which enables you to work in different sectors of the business in the UK So many different and varied opportunities mainly because of the third-party collaborations which the company regularly take on. Most of the staff seem to have really great resumes and come bringing skills, expertise and experience from really solid working background elsewhere. And the hours are regular - mostly we knock off at 5pm so the work/life balance is not bad
Very slow rate of change Greater effort could be made on employee development, you feel a bit dangling and left to your own devices in terms of making the most of your career and this can make you less interested in the company overall. I would say that whilst you can learn a lot from working here, the career progression prospects are pretty dim
Probably more certain development opportunities in the gym than in the office!
A good profitable company, and therefore a stable job, which is hard to come by in this economy. Great chances of bonuses, benefits and raises if youre willing to work hard. The high level of vertical integration at Centrica makes it possible for you to find good opportunities and projects in industries ranging from Power, construction to logistics and customer service. A great place to find opportunities to move you forward in your profession life.
I've worked with better teams. Locations are not great, and the bench desks are a bad idea, they're always crowded and uncomfortable. There is generally problem with space of all kinds - no vacant meeting rooms, you struggle to find parking space etc.
Needs a more airy, spacious work environment.
