Loads of interesting projects and switched-on, buzzy people. There’s a very strong team ethic and a committed work atmosphere. You’ll feel very involved right from the start and part of all that’s going on. And there’s plenty of variety -- you’ll find yourself regularly switching between projects.
There’s a lot of pressure to perform and to deliver. The workload is huge and you’re likely to find yourself doing someone else’s job too. Career roles are not at all clear, and neither is Damco’s chaotic project management.
They will promise you the Earth, but they’re not brilliant at getting you your salary on time!
Excellent work atmosphere. They get exciting projects and the staff is very intelligent and positive, and is always itching to take a crack at the new projects. The HR team has many good practices in place, employees always feel valued at Damco. They, and the management are always approachable and willing to listen to your grievances and even your suggestions.
Work load is very high. There is very little job security these days, and that causes a lot of work place pressure that spoils the otherwise excellent relationships between co-workers.
Excellent HR practices.
