“Cosmopolitan working”

DMU's very cosmopolitan and you'll be working alongside people from all kinds of backgrounds. There's a real energy to the place, it's a university whose time has come. It's a very go-ahead place, with supportive colleagues. Pay is prompt and not too bad and the university's facilities are excellent.

There's no clear career progression at DMU and you might struggle to get promoted. Vacancies are hard to come by, and they're not all advertised promptly. The uni could make more effort to promote equal opportunities.

It's more about teaching than academic research.

“Very international environment, great for research”

Extremely diverse and international environment, with a lot of diversity and thriving with many cultures. Good pay, and payment system. As a researched, you'll be very satisfied with the quality of the supervisors available here. The university is on the rise, and the staff is highly motivated by this. Great facilities too.

Promotions are hard to come by at the moment. The teaching load can often be a little excessive, and get in the way of research efforts.

A university on the rise, that is trying to do everything right, excellent international atmosphere.
