The workplace feels innovative due to the constant drive to update its products and services offered to customers. This makes working at Dell very varied and interesting. There are plenty of chances to progress and rotate around the company. I have actually left Dell only to find myself returning to it as I rate it as such a good company to be involved with.
A lot of people work from home, which can sometimes make the actual offices a bit too quiet and soulless. Whilst there is opportunities to progress and move around, you have to actively encourage this yourself, nothing is offered to you on a plate. There are often company structural changes which can lead some members of staff to feel unsettled. I would recommend that the upper management try to keep these changes hidden from staff and customers more, to achieve consistency all round.
The amount of people who work from home, meaning the offices can feel very quiet.
