Reviews:

“Mediocre company, not very interesting.”

“Give you the impression that they are a people company when all the time they are thinking of top notch yearly bonuses”

There isn't one GK are very greedy.

Same as best thing they m make you think they are their for the people but all the big cats think of is their bonus and the share price. FORGET the guys that do all the graft for these bonuses the Pub managers and their teams they are paid a pittance expected to live in slums and work till they drop. Then when you've done all this and made them thousands of £'s profit for them they kick you out or make it difficult for you to stay so they can put some Muppet in your place.

You are led to believe you are needed when actually no one gives a damn

“I worked for greeneking for 15 years and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone ever!!”

The other workers

Bad management, pay, never any appreciation what so ever!! Never listen to what people have to say if there’s an issue, treat you like crap basically. Nothing at the end of the year as a thanks for all the hard work over the year nothin! One of the worst company’s to work for tbh.

No organisation or common sense!

“Worst job I have ever had”

Some of the guests are really nice. Other than that my favourite memory from my time at Greene King was the day I left.

Where to start! They employ incompetent bullies to general mangers with zero people management skills who do nothing and treat their staff terribly (much like the higher ups in all honesty). You are constantly made to feel you are worthless but they make you work until you drop for less than minimum wage and breaking every working time law, if you dare complain you are told to look for another job if you don't like it. If you have live in you will be living in slum conditions. You are always short staffed so customers complain about food waits, waiting at the bar, the fact one person has to do everything, which is the staffs fault as far ... Where to start! If you have live in you will be living in slum conditions. You are always short staffed so customers complain about food waits, waiting at the bar, the fact one person has to do everything, which is the staffs fault as far as head office are concerned. It also doesn't help that very little of the food is fresh, some dishes can be £15+ where all the food has come out of the freezer in bags and thrown in the microwave. Head office staff have loads of perks that are only available to them which higher ups share on kingdom which is a social media app for Greene King employees that is useless and also doesn't work how it should, the fact head office get all these perks is even more of a kick in the teeth to the exhausted front line. Rotas are done 3 weeks in advance and published to kingdom so you know what you're working in advance is the promise and what head office praise themselves for but the area manager phones all the managers on Monday of the week the rota is due to start and tells them to cut all the hours out of the made up rota they copied 3 weeks ago and send it out to group chats for the team where all your shifts have now changed due to "needs of the business". If you are a manager that means you have to do extra hours for free to make sure invisible higher ups that you never see hit their labour budgets and they can fund their alcohol fuelled parties where they tell themselves what a great job they are all doing, front line teams do not even get so much as thank you. Pay is appalling, conditions are appalling, more

How awful it is. Genuinely the worst job I have ever had and would not recommend working there even to someone I hated.
