The benfits are great. You get to meet some nice genuine people. The relationships with the people you meet there, and the networking are probably the single best thing about working at Hilti.
Uniformed work atmosphere. Force you to drink the corporate Kool-aid. Heavily micro managed work atmosphere. Payplan changes every month. The work often involves slaving in mud and filth, lugging tools around, and is not the most endearing work when unsupported by good management practices.
Force you to drink the corporate Kool-Aid, no mental freedom at work.
Purposeful company, very well-organised. Has a global presence. Welcomes adaptability and there are lots of chances to work on interesting projects, gain new skills and take promotion within the firm. Positive, co-operative approach to working from all staff. Good pay, compensation and fringe benefits. Mostly a young crowd, drawn by the excellent graduate training programme.
Admin systems are heavy going and there's a whole lot of counter-checking and form-filling needed to do the simplest things. This can really slow down the pace of work.
Fair pay shouldn't be a benefit!
