67% of employees recommend this company to their friends

“Challenging place to work, but fun”

The company challenges its employees and tries to get them to perform at their best. Luckily they also provide a lot of support and cushion for you to do so. There are a lot of different opporuntities available due to the diversity in the product range. The company has good managers who consistently recognise good work. They also have an annual review system in place that allows for feedback from everyone in the organisation, and they take this very seriously.

The work hours can be taxing, because the company tries to extract the most out of you. There is always a lot of work to do, and a lot of time pressure.

Good support from management

“Global manufacturing giant”

Huge, diverse company with branches all over the world. Offers a wealth of opportunities. Great, structured career development, offers you all you need to develop your career. Really dedicated line managers who know how to motivate you to do your best. Secure job, good prospects and good money and benefits. Thorough annual reviews that actually help you make progress, rather than being an exercise in box ticking.

It's just so big. It can be hard to make your mark and get yourself known. Some middle management have been there since the stone age and are happy to just squat. Very process-oriented and you have to do a lot of things by the book for no very good reason. There's strong pressure to put in extra hours and take on demanding projects working to tough, tough deadlines.

They have a 'relaxation room'!

“Fire alarm service department”

The people we work with and the customers

The fire alarm team are at the bottom of the food chain. The pay is low for us with the avridge pay for fire alarm eng is 19 k. It seems that honeywell think that life safety is less important than bms as the bms eng and security eng Are on 30 k plus . Also honeywell don't value long service you are just a number. If you leave then come back you will get more money. But honeywell will not offer you. More to stay The big thing for all the fire guys is pay as we are all about 8 k down on the rest of the company. And you have to work evenings and weekends to make it up. When you ask for more money they look at your p60 and say you do ok ??

The pay difference for some one doing the same job it's vast.
