“Good facilities, lowish pay”

Pleasant, helpful colleagues for the most part. Clear, established procedures for dealing with employees' needs and terms of service. Working conditions are good and managers tend to be quite flexible about hours, so that you can fit them to your homelife needs when necessary. Training opportunities are very good and staff are encouraged to pursue their professional development. Many very good facilities available for both students and staff.

Organisation, communication and co-operation between departments could be improved. Pay could be a lot better. The fact that not all parts of the uni are on the same campus can make for problems.

There's a 'sponsored study' policy for staff.
