Reviews:

“A flexible, relaxed place to work with plenty of support and room to progress”

The colleagues I work with are very self motivated and care a lot about the company and its work. The training and support is very good and you are encouraged to follow your interests. I enjoy working with customers and the flexibility of the work. The work culture and atmosphere is relaxed, and there is a feeling of support in your skills from fellow colleagues. The pay is also good and there are opportunities to progress.

The hours can be long, but it is up to you how much you decide to take on.

The ability to adapt to change and good communication skills will get you far.

“Good exposure to a great working culture of success, lack of input at a personal level during the review process”

Company focused on being The Best in everything that they do and there is a great drive to achieve and succeed. Work with ambitious colleagues who are striving to excel makes it a very stimulating working environment to be in. This has a knock on affect on everyone in the organisation Huge variety of exciting projects to be involved with, also great to work with a reliable product development team – their work underpins everything Staff perks include a free mobile phone and broadband

There is great flexiblilty in working but that is having a drawback as managers expect everyone to be available for them to an unreasonable level even when you've knocked off for the day and have gone home Unfortunately a blame culture is beginning to develop in the company The review system is structured badly as you can have your grade decided before you even meet with your manager to discuss your work, so it's all down to how you have been perceived, and how the way your results have been reviewed rather than having a chance to input back to your manager face to face so that they can get a more accurate picture of the results. The projects that have a quick turnaround of results will garner more rewards than projects which are long-term, because there is a mis-fired, blinkered perception that you have not brought in the results and the fact that the results are due over a longer period is not taken into account. more

“IT giant”

A world brand that gains you instant recognition from other employers when they see it on your CV. Bright, switched-on people with supportive mentors for new staff. Strong graduate development programme. Excellent pay and conditions packages. A real community feel and the chance to develop your own areas of expertise. Lots of scope for career progression and promotion. Huge resources and deep, deep pockets.

Resting rather on its laurels and not keen enough to find new products and markets. The pace of work can be hectic at times and there's not always a clear sense of direction from the top. MS is a global giant, so you can feel lost in the belly of the big corporate beast.

They offer free counselling to employees who need it.
