“Great place to work”

There's a team feeling to everything Midcounties does and there's a definite sense that you're valued as an employee. It's a very ethical company, so you can feel good about that. It puts a lot of effort into training and professional development, so you can benefit from all those opportunities. Pay is good and working hours are flexible when you need them to be. Promotion prospects are also pretty encouraging.

Its IT infrastructure is pretty old and shaky and could do with an upgrade.

Employee perks include discounts on eye tests and also on bikes.

“Everyone gets a share”

Everyone's a colleague and everyone gets a share in all that goes on at Midcounties, and that includes sharing in the profits. Very welcoming work environment and supportive staff and management. There's plenty of variety in the roles on offer, as MCC offers everything from food to funeral plans, along with energy supplies and childcare! Flexitime arrangements for staff and time off to do voluntary work in the community. Inclusive policies, with a strong emphasis on equal opportunities.

Communication can be poor between departments. Sometimes, the office politics can be a distraction.
