It's a great place to start your career You are given responsibility and trusted to just get on I like to be kept busy – there are some down times – but generally there's a lot to do
Sometimes too much to do and you have long hours and work-life balance suffers You get dropped into managing things without enough management support but then they will attack you if you get it wrong Too much short-term thinking means that longer term money is being wasted when projects falter or fall short
Negatively competitive environment. Teams are pitted against each other in an unhelpful way and a offensive/defensive culture is developing!
The company is a leader in its field, and a great place to start your career because of how supportive they are internally, and open to ideas and ready to give credit where it is due. A great name to have on your resume. The facilities at work are great, and the people are even better.
The pay scale is a little weird, and the annual reviews are poor. The reviews are handled in the way that public sector pay raises are handled, and reflect experience more than talent and achievement. Communication can be a little poor at times.
Good work environment, with a bad pay scale - this incentives people to launch their careers there but quickly move elsewhere.
