Good salary and plenty of extra perks: a company phone and car for example. Hours are good too, so you'll get a reasonable work-life balance. You'll get plenty of support and there's great in-service training. You're working for a globally recognised brand, so there are lots of opportunities to progress.
Tends to be male-dominated, especially at the top of the company. It's such a big business that you can tend to feel lost and overlooked. Things can be slow-moving at Philips and some employees admit it's a bit of a dinosaur.
Everyone at the top seems to be Dutch!
Philips Electronics are a large, well-established organisation with a great brand name in the market Staff benefits package is good – particularly enjoy having a company car, mobile, and expense account
Working atmosphere lacks dynamism, job is actually quite mundane because you don't really feel you can make a difference with ideas, that you are just a piece on a board rather than a player Everything plays out at work as if in slow motion Really needs an injection of entrepeneurial spirit from somewhere – is currently coasting and relying rather too heavily on the brand in my opinion, really need to be more visionary and ready to take some risks to move forward
Fair pay shouldn't be a benefit!
