“A generally positive experience, but one that can vary depending on your project placement”

The working hours are flexible. I have met some fantastic colleagues and been presented with opportunities to travel in the job. The project I am working on allows me to be innovative. The training is really good and allows for networking amongst other colleagues.

It is luck of the draw depending on whether you are put on a good project or not as to whether you will enjoy your time here. Experiences tend to vary, even in the same offices between staff members on different projects and teams. Also, it can be hard to switch between projects if you are not happy with what you are working on.

Sometimes people work weekends to get all of the work done, but generally the working hours are pretty flexible as long as you are present during the company's core hours of 9.30am to 4pm.

“Great workplace”

The best thing about working at Siemens is perhaps the excellent learning opportunities on offer. The level of sophistication of the company and its buisness leads to a lot of very intelligent people being around you all the time. The work environment is fun and encourages interaction.

Work life balance hard to maintain. The company is slow to move in the market and often doesnt take advantage of opportunities. This can be demotivating, especially to the technical staff. Often the culture is too process based.

Process based culture, stifles innovation
