The learning opportunities, and career progressions are worth it if youre willing to work extra hard for it. At the same time they are very supportive of a work life balance, and especially for people with families. A very understanding and caring organisation.
The progressions are only available for those who are willing to go one step extra, and unlike in a corporate atmosphere, this doesnt necessarily mean "do more good work." After a point the organisation becomes extremely bureaucratic, and this can become a real pain to deal with for someone looking to progress up the ranks.
Good work life balance, mixed with bureaucratic tangles.
