“Exciting environment let down by bad management.”
The pay is great, and so are the benefits. The environment and nature of the business makes it a good, fast paced, exciting and entertaining environment to work in. Hard to get bored. There is also excellent communication between departments, and the teams tend to be very close and tight knit, with a strong team spirit.
The management does not interact with employees anywhere near as much as they ought to. Communication, even official communication is very badly managed. There is a serious lack of good senior management.
Fast paced, and unique work atmosphere.
“Large operation of home delivery service to the online world, learning a lot”
Big organisation at centre of explosion of online shopping market
Parcel handling and delivery key to industry
Gaining lots of experience and an understanding of the business, the size of the company makes the operation particularly interesting
Management not cohesive in their approach and not maximising the knowledge of their experienced staff members. Do not draw on the relevant experience for how to deal with depots that are not making the grade, and rush in implementing half-cocked fix-it programmes, clearly without the first idea as a lot of the depots they have tried to improve have actually got worse.
