Abellio - Group Procurement Manager
Every day 13,000 Abellio people provide safe, easy and reliable public transport for 1.2 million passengers, our operations span the UK and Germany across bus and train services. In the UK, we operate train services for ScotRail, Scotland's National Railway, Greater Anglia in a joint venture with Mitsui, Merseyrail in a joint venture with Serco and West Midlands Trains in a joint venture with Mitsui and JR East, as well as buses through Abellio London Bus.
Abellio is looking for an exceptional procurement professional to join the Group Procurement function, based at their Greater Anglia operations. You will bring a high level of technical and commercial competence and the skills to influence a wide and complex range of stakeholders. You will work with the Group Procurement team achieve best value for Greater Anglia in multiple categories, maximising capabilities and commercial strength.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement and contract governance and controls, while ensuring the implementation of category led procurement within the operating company. You will manage a capex spend of c.£130m and will support the development of their asset management and infrastructure capability.
The successful candidates must have a track-record of managing group wide procurement activity as well as category led tenders which create best value across a complex organisation. You will use your creative problem solving abilities to drive continuous improvement and using your own initiative to make things happen.
