The role will be based in an automated warehouse for a well established organisation. You will be joining an experienced team where you will be fault finding, leading process improvements and will be involved in the installation of brand new machinery and commissioning market leading equipment. 2019 is a fantastic year to join the company and be a part of something massive. You will be responsible for work within controls, maintenance, projects, commissioning and install or fully automated machinery such as conveyors, cranes, robotics, sortation machinery etc. Responsibilities: You will be solving the problems with PLC code, complex fieldbus IO and SCADA systems.The ability to understand Warehouse Control Systems and Telegrams.You will be building, commissioning and problem solving Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Panels.You must understand Industrial communication protocols like ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Ethernet IP, and demonstrable ability to problem solve those systems.You will be using Barcode recognition technology.Experience Reading and Updating Electrical and Controls Schematics and Documentation, SOP's and VSOP's,Ability to analyse metrics and data and identify system and machine optimisation opportunitiesExperience of Change Management processes.As part of the shift team you will take the lead in resolution of controls related issues and improvements.Experience of commissioning special purpose machinery.Demonstrate the knowledge of Machine Safety Regulations and Safe Working Practices.Fundamental understanding of IT systems like IP Networking, Server Architecture, SQL Databases. Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:HND/C in Electrical or Controls biased qualificationYou must be able to programme and implement PLC'S with one of the following: Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Momentum, AutomationDirect, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromat, Toshiba, etc.Experience with SQL, Linux, Cloud Technology and IP NetworkingProject management, organisation and problem solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skills.You should be able to operate under minimal supervision.Willingness to work in a fast paced and growing global environment where travel is required.
