Following the ongoing success of our Apprenticeship scheme, we are looking to appoint a further Apprentice Gardener/Grounds person.
During this training role you will support an established team in completing activities associated with all aspects of grounds maintenance and sports fields works. In addition you will attend Askham Bryan College where further training will be delivered in a 'block release' manner.
English & Maths GCSE at Level 2 or above are required. You will work to successfully complete the Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship Standard.
You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated and ideally have some hands on experience of a horticulture related activity or a genuine interest Horticulture, Grounds Maintenance and/or Sports Fields work.
Employment is not guaranteed at the end of the apprenticeship, however, it is anticipated that the role holder will gain the skills and qualifications required to apply for relevant University job vacancies.
