Internal Sales Person (Technical/engineering bias)

We have an amazing opportunity for a talented individual to join our client's team in the capacity of an Internal Sales Person to become a part of our clients continuing global development and success.


The mission is for the Internal Sales Person is to support external sales, existing and prospective customers with technical sales enquiries for Clients products, provide quotes and close opportunities, enabling customers to fulfil their product and safety objectives. In fulfilling the role, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience.


  • Working from the office you will take incoming sales enquiries, process them, provide solutions for the customer and effectively communicate a solution and quotation
  • You will follow up quotes with a view to securing new sales orders
  • Working with external sales you will create new opportunities by seeking out new customers in a given territory and generate an interest in client's products
  • You will build a rapport with your customers to ensure repeat business opportunities
  • You will provide frontline technical support for new and existing customers and users of client's products
  • You will provide demonstrations of product for visiting customers
  • You will use all the resources available to demonstrate the superior features and benefits of client's products in order to secure new sales and support/educate new customers
  • You will utilise the companies CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to manage the sales cycle and record existing customer communications and transactions

Skills Experience and Attributes

  • An organised individual able to plan and achieve personal objectives on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • An excellent communicator, with solid written and oral skills and comfortable speaking on the phone
  • Willing and can demonstrate the ability to work in a motivated and hardworking team
  • Previous experience in an internal technical sales or customer services role
  • Able to absorb and communicate technical information
  • Ability to read basic engineering drawings
  • Ability to build relationships with clients quickly
  • Thrives on being given responsibility, taking ownership and being accountable for their work and achievements
  • Resilience, tenacity and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Inquisitive and proactive
  • Displays honesty and integrity and can demonstrate these characteristics
  • Good knowledge of IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

The Package

  • Competitive salary £20,000-£26,000 dependent on experience
