This Stafford based hospital is a recognised specialist in Orthopaedics, Day Surgery, Cosmetics and Physiotherapy. The Candidate As registered Nurse / ODP, you have a track record of achievement in clinical leadership and management in theatre / nursing practice. You'll bring proven experience working in a senior role in a similar environment, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the health care regulatory agenda and mechanisms. You will be working closely alongside the Head of Clinical Services to ensure all clinical aspects of the running of the theatre and ward are in line with modern nursing guidelines and CQC. Particularly important will be your ability to quickly understand the clinical challenges facing the hospital, with particular focus on the independent sector and the ongoing challenges of running a busy theatre / ward environment. Provides highly visible professional leadership and direction to the nursing workforce, ensuring that they are clear about the clinical objectives and high standards of service delivery. Fosters a patient centred, customer services culture within nursing and clinical areas such that staff strives to achieve clinical service excellence in the delivery of patient care within the clinic, driving best in class performance. Drives continual improvement and transformation to embed high standards of safe, always personalised high quality care whilst creating a compassionate environment which enhances the patient experience. In partnership with the Head of Clinical Services, develops and implements the strategy on excellence in patient experience. Reviews and examines all clinical practices, applying and evaluating research and other leading edge thinking to support efficient and cost effective clinical practice in all clinical areas and to improve patient outcomes.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Qualifications Experience in Ophthalmology preferred but not essential Experience as an RGN or ODP - focus on experience in theatre Experience in Private or NHS Healthcare - Team Leader / Lead role Dynamic approach to work with a focus on safety / governance Confident Communicator Interest and ambassador in Company values Ability to Manage and influence a team
