As a Product Owner within our Group Marketing Platform (GMP) programme you will be responsible for the development of the GMP product delivered across all source markets.The Group Marketing Platform, powered by a state of the art Big Data solution and marketing tools delivers personalised, multi-channel marketing communications to TUI’s customers in a timely and relevant manner. What you will be doing
You will be part of a team of Product Owners responsible for the development of the GMP product. Key responsibilities will include:• Develop a deep understanding of the potential business use and applications of the products and solutions produced by the Group Marketing programme team. • Work closely with development and QA teams to prioritise key features and user stories with the input from commercial teams, markets, and users. • Work with key internal and external stakeholders to define and agree relevant KPIs and SLAs and pro-actively track performance against these.• Delivery focus and ownership of the GMP product ensuring we stick to key timelines and understand scope and requirement dependencies• Act as a key point of contact for the market CRM teams ensuring transparency of delivery progress• Work with our Digital Transformation teams to ensure that new functional requirements for enhancements to the platform are fully understood by them, enabling them to deliver platform enhancements efficiently and on-time.• Play a key role in the Scrum team during the Sprint cycle, focussing on efficiency and standardisation • Champion the use of ‘off the shelf‘ platform capability across the markets• Develop and implement a common set of marketing programs to drive engagement, conversion and customer retention, balancing both commercial priorities and customer preferences. Ensure content & offers for each customer are aligned to the overall customer & personalisation strategy• Define business requirements for new marketing programs and work with both the source markets (local implementation) and the Digital Transformation team (common implementation) to implement programs and ensure User Acceptance Testing is conducted prior to go live. • Understand the different business models in each source market to provide context for the programs and implementation plans• Ensure marketing initiatives are measurable and clearly link to the strategic goals of online growth, growth of add-on sales (ancillaries) and customer retention• Support a rigorous and robust testing strategy across markets to ensure a constant pursuit of performance optimisation. Balance sophistication to drive performance with simplicity to drive operational efficiency• CRM or Marketing experience ideal but not essential (ideally IBM Campaign/IBM Marketing Cloud or a leading competitor such as Exact Target or Adobe) to lead the implementation of our new multi-channel marketing platform across the UK & Ireland.Within the role you will actively champion product integrity for core products in scope and work with key stakeholders to define, manage and minimise local differences wherever possible. You will also contribute to the technical direction of the product to ensure customer and business value are delivered. As a Product Owner you will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, innovate and manage the performance of the products in scope of the work stream. You will also champion the customer and business value potential of the products to build understanding and buy-in across the business.
What we are looking for
• Experience of developing and managing a digital product roadmap and product lifecycle management • Good technical understanding, able to produce production level user stories with an eye for detail • Strong ideation skills (e.g. design thinking) • Background in Business Analysis would be ideal • Exceptional customer focus, including internal customers • Strong communication, influencing and networking skills. • Experience working using agile methodologies in product development • Understanding of relevant digital technologies, with the ability to harness their potential to drive customer and business value • Able to maintain strong customer focus while balancing business requirements and goals • Able to analyse and communicate technical concepts to create practical solutions and influence decisions • Strong personal impact and the ability to inspire confidence and positive action • Work will require travel – including some overseas travel
