Working as a Desktop Investigator provides a challenging and fulfilling role for those looking to specialise in investigating fraud across a whole range of industry sectors including domestic, commercial, liability, and motor.
To work as part of the Davies Special Investigations support team, based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The role will involve undertaking desktop investigative interviews using cognitive interviewing techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
An investigator will undertake a range of investigations in an ethical & professional manner, employing best practice & key investigative competencies, which comprise:
Adhere to client specific service standards and ensure DSI’s investigations are conducted within the Company’s guidelines, procedures & protocols. To ensure that all DSI diaries, files and correspondence are maintained in line with company standards and procedures and provide a clear and concise history of events, action and quantum assessment (in tandem with the adjusters/claims handlers where appropriate). Assist in the generation of optimal revenue for the company by ensuring true & accurate time recording and strict adherence to fee rates. Be accountable for achieving Key Performance Indicators and strict SLAs in order to achieve optimal revenue. Promote & maintain the profile of fraud management within the Company. To provide support to colleagues within Davies Group in regard to fraud detection and containment. To ensure own technical and professional development progress is in accordance with agreed Personal Development Plans (PDP). Promote & maintain the profile of DSI within the Company and throughout the market place generally.
All Staff are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their senior manager, in line with business requirements
Skills & Experience:
Previous investigative experience desirable but consideration will be given to experienced claims handlers looking to move into an investigative role and who have a keen interest in fraud.
