The Learning Support Assistant role will see you providing specialised 1:1 and class support for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs. The ethos at the school is to ensure that every student reaches their full potential and improves their life chances and is enabled to do so with a high level of support in a safe and nurturing environment.
The school are looking to appoint an empathetic and caring Graduate Learning Support Assistant with the drive to train and develop with the role. You will need to have a degree and some experience working with children in a support capacity, but school experience is not essential. Most Important is a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work on a one to one basis with special educational needs within a mainstream school.
• Plan and deliver small group intervention sessions designed to raise attainment levels.
• Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers, track progress and implement learning plans for specific pupils.
• Supervise extra-curriculum activities on and off site such as swimming and sports clubs.
