You'll be an integral part of our friendly and growing team leading the development of mechanical and electro-mechanical drug delivery devices within our Research and Development Devices Centre of Excellence located close to the world-famous university city of Cambridge.
Your challenge? To lead the design and engineering aspects of a drug delivery device from requirements capture through to manufacturing support, trouble-shooting and complaints investigations. As well as identifying and analyzing technical problems, you'll need to understand the patient needs and capabilities, manage suppliers and collaborate with internal stakeholders. You'll get to travel internationally from time to time too.

As well as a degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, product design or similar, you'll need experience of tolerance analysis, CAD (preferably Creo) and risk assessment. FEA, injection moulding or medical device experience would also be a benefit. Ultimately, we're looking for a proactive, collaborative, problem-solver with some experience of design control, an ability to see the wider implications of technical decisions and a strong desire to make things work.
