SSE Enterprise Telecoms are seeking a Datacoms Installation Electrician to be part of the Cabling Service team which is a key part of our business growth over the next 5 years.
We offer the expertise of a company with significant resources, infrastructure and its own extensive corporate networks nationwide. All aspects of system integration, from data and voice cabling through implementing complete LAN and WAN infrastructures, are undertaken for clients throughout the UK.
As the Datacoms Installation Electrician, you will be required to undertake a variety of tasks for both internal and external clients throughout the UK. This will involves undertaking a variety of tasks on sites which may including installation, termination and testing of Data, Fibre Optic, Wi-Fi and electrical systems for both internal and external clients.
As a team member you may be required to join the reactive callout team; you’ll respond to and manage various issues and faults across the country on a rolling rota basis, so you must be flexible for this role.
Your Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will need to have experience as either Datacoms Specialist or qualified Electrician, with qualifications relevant & suitable for the grade.
You will need to have a proven track record in project delivery, installation works and great communication skills to ensure that you are able to provide information, support and assistance to site technicians, contracts manager and the client.
As part of the role, you are required to perform on site daily risk assessments, site inductions and vehicle and plant check sheets/HAVs. You will also assist in the completion of construction phase plans, site audits and safety briefs.
An excellent working knowledge of the structured cabling systems and/or the electrical systems is desirable. Additionally you should have a good working knowledge of containment systems and fibre optic installation practices.

* Sub Station environments
* Railway environment
* Wi-Fi systems & training
* IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, CSCS.
As a company vehicle is provided, a full driving licence is a must.
