Marketing and Innovation Function
The Marketing & Innovation (M&I) function is accountable for the overall growth strategy of the Rentokil Initial Group across the Pest and Hygiene Categories. M&I is accountable for all Marketing and Innovation activities, including branding and marketing communications, proposition development and deployment, product and service innovations, as well as the science and regulatory programmes.
The M&I Digital Marketing Team is responsible for the development, launch and management of all digital marketing activities - customer experience/journeys across all digital platforms, digital content marketing, paid advertising, digital conversion optimisation, public domain websites, social marketing and the digital technical platform.
The Digital Marketing Team has three core accountabilities; ensuring a ‘fit for purpose’ digital estate aligned with and supporting RI’s business strategy, principally around driving organic growth; maximising the return on our digital marketing investment across all digital channels and evolving and maintaining our current digital platform and web estate.
Within the Digital Marketing Team there are 5 areas of activity spanning Search Marketing, Customer Experience, B2B In/Outbound Marketing, Digital Projects and Deployment and Digital Programme Management, delivered by 23 full time colleagues.
The M&I Brand and Marketing Communications Team is responsible for the delivery of the Digital Content Marketing Plan aligned with RI’s Search Strategy and identified customer needs along the purchase funnel. The team is also supported by an internal IT Development Team.
Senior Digital Marketing Lead - Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to ensure alignment across the Digital Marketing Strategy and the Regional/Local digital initiatives.
The Senior Digital Account Manager will act as the gatekeeper for the Digital Marketing Team and the primary point of contact with the Regional/Local Marketing Teams. The role-holder will be accountable for all digital marketing service delivery and will be responsible for Regional/Local stakeholder management.
Working with the Digital Marketing Director and the wider team, the role-holder will facilitate the day to day execution of a significant transformation of our digital estate; which will provide a platform to support the future growth of our digital brand presence and ultimately drive organic revenue growth.
In addition to facilitating this transformation, the role-holder will liaise with Regional/Local Marketing Teams to prioritise their digital initiatives and coordinate delivery by the Digital Marketing Specialist Teams and external agencies to the agreed timelines.
As part of the role, the Senior Digital Account Manager will work with and across the internal Digital Marketing and wider M&I and IT teams.
Stakeholders & Resources
People: Accountable for Digital Marketing service delivery across all projects with an ability to deliver significant change by working across matrixed functional specialist and business teams.
Financial: No budget accountability.
Internal: Liaise with Regional Marketing Directors, Local Digital Marketing Managers, Digital CRO and V4 Product and Deployment Manager, Head of Search Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager - Customer Experience and where required external consultants and agencies.
