Reporting to the Finance Director, this position will be responsible for all aspects of financial control and stewardship. The candidate will lead the financial accounting activities and co-ordinate the day to day priorities of the finance team. The role is a key part of the leadership team, responsible for delivering accurate financial results to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a strong financial process and control framework is in place and ensuring compliance with all regulatory authorities.
Deliver timely and accurate consolidated accounts to meet all statutory, regulatory, shareholder and management reporting requirements Provide controllership for the consolidated business, focusing on the monthly closing process and financial integrity of the consolidated and local financial accounts Responsible for delivery of the monthly closing process and reporting of actual results, working with the finance team to ensure timely, effective and accurate reporting of business results, including commentary and appropriate investigatory analysis Operate robust balance sheet account management processes and ensure that the balances are appropriately reconciled, reviewed and provide meaningful analysis Maintain accurate asset registers Ensure that all expenditures are properly authorised Drive internal and external audit processes to ensure statutory filing deadlines are met and deliver the external audit process to successful and efficient conclusion Review internal controls and delegations of authority and implement changes where appropriate Assist the Finance Director with the annual budget and reforecast cycle including cash flow and working capital forecasts Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
You will be highly technical, process focussed, hands‐on finance professional with a track record of successfully implementing process, change and accounting function improvements.
