Roevin Engineering are looking for a Building Surveyor (Repairs & Condition
Surveys) for a 6 month mini contract in the Lewes area of East Sussex
Monday to Friday 37 hours a week
Inside IR35 paying £14.93 per hour Umbrella PAYE
6 months minim work
Working within the Property Maintenance Delivery Team delivering reactive maintenance repairs
and minor works untilising the various Maintenance Contracting arrangements as well as giving appropriate maintenance advice.
As part of the role to undertake condition surveys of the property portfolio to ensure that we optimise forward maintenance planning and the understand the overall utilisation of buildings to
drive up value.
There is a duty to reduce operating costs, whilst maintaining appropriate professional standards for design and associated implementation, including ensuring premises are safe and provide
appropriate conditions for staff and visitors to work in.
The post holder is expected to deal with Members, Senior Officers, Consultants and various clients
as well as peers from other authorities on technical issues that affect the organisation and sovereign authority.
The post holder will ensure appropriate systems and procedures in place are utilised to effectively manage and control the delivery of standards, inform budgets, forecast programming and planning.
This post will form part of the wider Property team which provides Property related services across authorities. This role has a core base location of County Hall however meetings will occur at other sites to which you will be required to attend.
In addition, our organisation supports
flexible working and this can include working from home or from other partner offices both within and outside the County.
Educated to relevant HNC / HND or degree level and ideally working towards membership of RICS or CIOB, with a minimum of 3 years work history
DBS clearance is required.
