NHS Professionals manages the temporary staffing needs of around 60 NHS Trusts across England. An integral part of the NHS, it aims to reduce trusts’ spending on flexible workers without compromising quality, by providing greater transparency of demand and supplying bank staff at the best possible rate. Its bank of more than 40,000 flexible workers comprises general and specialist nurses, doctors, midwives, admin/clerical, allied health professionals, healthcare scientists, support services among other healthcare professionals.
The Trust are now looking to expand their flexible workforce via the NHSP Bank across all sites. You will work alongside the Trusts’ dedicated Theatre Team who are committed to delivering excellent patient care. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced theatre staff to expand their existing skills and knowledge.
Duties:
As a Theatre Practitioner at Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust you will be responsible for the following:
1. To ensure the maintenance of a high quality, patient focused care at all times in partnership with substantive staff
2. To provide effective leadership and act as a good role model, working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
3. To provide and maintain a safe environment for all patients attending theatres for a surgical procedure.
4. To co-ordinate and carry out all aspects of care in the best interests of the patient and family.
5. To act as patient advocate throughout the theatre process.
In order to apply for this post you must be a Nursing or ODP registered professional with a relevant qualification in your specific theatre discipline / demonstrable relevant experience (minimum of 6 months).
