We currently have an exciting new vacancy for a part time Team Secretary within our specialist Paediatrics West Team.
This key role will be to provide a comprehensive Secretarial service to the Paediatrics department, with support and links to the wider teams within Childrens Services.
Your main duties will include answering phone calls, booking appointments, processing referrals, typing and distributing confidential clinic letters and reports, chasing investigation results, dealing with post, working closely with clinical staff and liaising with external Agencies.
To apply, you will need to have a good level of education (including English and Maths) and RSA/NVQ level 3 typing qualification or equivalent experience. This post will involve regular VDU use, proficient use of various Microsoft office packages (i.e. word, excel, outlook, calendars) and audio typing equipment. Therefore, these are essential for this role. Knowledge/use of the NHS Rio system is desirable, however, full training will be given as required.
As a person, you will need to be self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise your daily workload whilst also managing your working time effectively. You will be able work independently as well as being a good team player, with excellent communication and accuracy skills.
