Do you have a passion to make a real difference to improving the lives of our residents/ service users? Well this may be the role for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to join our care and support team at Willowbank and Bircham House.

The Role

Here at Longhurst Group we want to deliver excellent Care and Support Services which are both individualised and customer-led, promoting wellbeing and support for older vulnerable adults by creating a vibrant, forward thinking culture which can help make a difference to our residents’ quality of life. Extra Care schemes provide high quality accommodation and care for older people. With a 24-hour on-site care team, residents receive personal care tailored to their needs in an extremely warm and welcoming environment.

As a Senior Night Support Worker, you will:

Be responsible for supporting a team of Extra Care Support Workers, to provide a flexible responsive service to people using the service.
Maintain accurate records of support provided, undertake holistic care plans, risk assessments and reviews to ensure service users are able to access a range of relevant, local services.
You will provide support, sometimes at short notice, to service users living in their own home or elsewhere.

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for working in the care sector and will appreciate the importance of providing care for older vulnerable adults. We are looking for a Senior Support Workers who goes that extra mile whilst working as part of a team. In order to deliver service excellence, you must demonstrate empathy, patience, humour and a ‘can do’ attitude.?

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate a good level of ICT skills and have experience of working with all MS Office programmes.
Have proven ability to motivate others and form good working relationships.
Have knowledge and understanding of National Care Standards; regulatory QA requirements; the workings of social care and health care.
Be a driver to be able to float from site to site.
