HRD Business Partner: Ageas Insurance is seeking a proactive and passionate individual to join our HR team, based in our Bournemouth office. A new opportunity has arisen for an HR & Development Business Partner to partner and add value to, the key functional business leadership teams by identifying their full range of people needs and devise plans for solutions to meet these.

You will develop, monitor, actively support and report on the implementation of the people agenda in partnership with business leaders and facilitate the people processes across client areas.

The right candidate will be passionate about making an impact and adding value through a flexible and pragmatic approach, providing a range of options and solutions to our busy people managers.

You will be excellent at influencing and providing guidance, helping to forecast and plan future HR requirements ensuring defined service levels, standards and priorities are taken into consideration.

Here are some of the accountabilities of the HRD Business Partner role:

  • Working closely with functional business leadership teams, understand their commercial imperatives and input into the development of the business strategy, ensuring that people strategies are in place to support the achievement of business goals
  • Translate emerging business needs into people plans, identifying current and future people requirements, providing functional solutions whilst balancing different stakeholder requirements,
  • In partnership with the business, develop, monitor, report and manage delivery of the people plan for the relevant functional area
  • Engage with business areas to develop awareness and ensure delivery of full range of people management disciplines (including talent development, change management, resourcing, engagement, organisational design and development, employee relations, internal communications, reward and property management)
  • Work closely with the relevant HRD centres of excellence and shared service functions to ensure business people requirements are supported appropriately, in line with Company policy and legislation and required service levels, standards and priorities. In conjunction with colleagues across relevant HRD functions seek to deliver improvements where required, acting as conduit with line management

To be successful in being considered for the HRD Business Partner vacancy you need:

  • CIPD qualification at Graduate (level 7) Level, or a Degree (or equivalent) relevant to the role.
  • Proven experience of negotiating and influencing.
  • Detailed and relevant knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Significant experience/exposure to critical disciplines of Human Resources
  • Successful track record of implementing Human Resources initiatives that have had a clear impact on the performance and effectiveness of an organisation
  • Ability to analyse and understand data and information quickly. Use information, insights and knowledge in a structured way, including systemic thinking, to identify options, make recommendations and make robust, defendable decisions.
  • Ability to constructively challenge and debate whilst building and sustaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to influence and persuade line management to encourage best practice, and proactive networking (internal and external)
  • Ability to gain traction and drive change
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication
