Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Support Assistant to work with students in an SEND school for students with severe learning difficulties, the role will commence in the new academic year and will be held on a rolling basis.
The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with students with severe learning difficulties across Key Stages 3 and 4 who are in need of extra support within their lessons. The school delivers the national curriculum to students as well as a sensory curriculum for those with the most profound difficulties, there is a variety of SEND in the school including:
* Speech and language difficulties * Downs Syndrome * Autism
Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with severe learning difficulties. However, the client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth/social work, care work and graduates; the most important quality is a passion for improving the lives of young people and a kind and nurturing personality.
