Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner(Ref: SS65)
37.5 hours per week (Part time applicants will be considered)
£24,214 - £30,112 per annum, pro rata
Based: South Staffordshire Wellbeing Matters, Tamworth
An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within the South Staffordshire Wellbeing Service (IAPT). Mental Health Matters works in partnership with Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust to deliver Talking Therapies across South Staffordshire. We are seeking individuals who have gained the IAPT Post-Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions and have (preferably) worked in the field of mental health. You must be able to demonstrate high levels of written and verbal communication; be computer literate and be able to demonstrate good therapeutic relationships with people. Newly qualified and soon to be qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
The post-holder will receive high quality supervision and support in delivering a range of low-intensity psychological treatments for anxiety disorders and depression. These include assessment, psycho-education, behavioural activation, medication management, problem solving and guided self-help. PWP’s are expected and encouraged to support community engagement and develop their own special interest areas.
The successful candidate will also receive additional specialist in-house training in a range of relevant clinical areas, such as dealing with long-term physical conditions, medically unexplained symptoms and research methodology. We are a friendly, ambitious and academic team, and PWPs are encouraged to develop specialist interests, and be involved in carrying out research projects. The service has links with both Staffordshire and Keele Universities, and this is therefore an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated individual wishing to progress their clinical career.

Terms and conditions for these posts are NHS comparable, not identical and the successful candidates will be employed by Mental Health Matters, a non NHS organisation.
