Would you like to be part of a team ensuring high standards of health and social care equipment provision to the community in Worcestershire? Are you passionate about service delivery and keen to promote excellence in health care?
The Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) is a joint County Council Community NHS operation that provides equipment for Worcestershire residents to remain in their own homes, achieving and maintaining independence in daily living tasks as well as supporting nursing and paramedical needs to enable patients to be treated in the community, facilitate safe discharge and prevent hospital admission. The service is based at Wychbold, just off Junc. 5 of the M5, from where our fleet of delivery/collection vans visit all corners of the county on a daily basis.
We are currently looking to fill a full time vacancy within the present driver/warehouse team, with a highly motivated, well organised person who is committed to maintaining the standards of this high quality service.
The successful candidate will undertake the delivery and collection of equipment to and from clients' homes, clinics, hospitals, and schools throughout Worcestershire. Duties will also include minor adjustment of wheelchairs to suit the individual and basic in situ reassembly of larger equipment. On a rotational basis you will be cleaning relinquished equipment, maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment, and duties associated with the maintenance of stock. The ideal candidate will have a caring attitude, excellent communication skills, with relevant driving and stores experience.
The position requires a self-motivated individual capable of organising their own time. Excellent verbal communication skills and a Full Driving Licence are essential. Due to the limited number of drivers we have within our workforce who hold a valid CPC licence, we are currently not in a position to take on applicants who do not hold this licence. A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and valid Driver qualification card is essential.
We welcome informal visits to the warehouse and are happy to meet to discuss the opportunity available. For more information or to arrange an informal visit, please contact Mark Cutler on 01527 869126.
Please note that applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified/experienced individuals. However prior consideration will be given to applications from individuals who are ‘at risk’ and employed by Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. If an appointment is made from that at risk group, the post will be withdrawn.
