CAREER ENHANCING OPPORTUNITIES WITH OUR UNIVERSITY CENTRES - JOIN OUR LEARNING COMMUNITY!
We have 2 established University Centres in the DN Colleges Group - University Campus North Lincolnshire (in Scunthorpe) and University Centre Doncaster. We currently have around 2.200 Higher Education students enrolled on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; this is expected to increase to 2,500 next year across the 2 campuses.
We work with the University of Lincoln, University of Hull and Sheffield Hallam University as awarding bodies and have a rapidly developing portfolio of Higher and Degree Apprenticeship provision.
A range of exciting opportunities for Subject Specialists are now available as we seek to expand our staffing base. These full-time and fractional posts are all focused on higher education teaching and the higher education student experience. Successful applicants would be appointed to DN Colleges Group contracts with one of our campuses as the primary place of work. We may, however, require individuals to undertake some teaching or other scholarly activity at both locations
You will support practical teaching within the Engineering & Technology Cognate Area. The role will involve working collaboratively across UCNL to develop innovative and creative approaches towards learning and teaching and new opportunities for practical activities. The role will involve working with a small team of academics, liaison with external suppliers and maintenance of all engineering laboratory equipment. The teaching support responsibilities for the post will include modules within the range of engineering programmes, including Levels 4 and 5.
The University Centre’s discrete facilities accommodate our 1,100+ higher education students and subject specialist staff across a wide range of provision.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a laboratory setting, be competent in the use of a range of both mechanical and electrical laboratory equipment and have a sound engineering subject knowledge located in both theory and practice.
We are very proud of our reputation for outstanding quality and our student centred ethos.
