We are looking for an Administrator within Adult Services to carry out admin tasks for both The Client Affairs Service Teams and the Deprivation Of Liberties Safeguards (DOLS) Team.
Client Affairs work with service users, their care managers, carers and external contractors, to ensure that vulnerable adults who are unable to manage their financial affairs are protected from exploitation and, wherever possible, empowered to utilise their resources in ways which accord with their wishes, beliefs and lifestyles.
The DOLS Team provide protection for vulnerable people who are accommodated in care homes or hospitals in circumstances which amount to a deprivation of their liberty and who lack capacity to consent to the care or treatment they need.
Both of these teams provide support and training to practitioners and users of their services.
You will provide administrative support for both of these teams. It is essential that you possess good communication and organisational skills, and have administrative experience in an office environment. You'll have proven numerical ability and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Your duties will involve everything from assessing customer requirements and responding to routine enquiries, through to monitoring budgets and resources. You will therefore need proven administrative experience, good IT and communication skills, plus GCSE level qualifications or equivalent at grades A – C, including Maths and English.
Highly motivated, you will have the ability to work under pressure, be able to approach tasks with confidence and clarity, using your own initiative. You will need to be flexible in your approach, have the ability to work as part of a team and will be rewarded by great support from your colleagues.
