A Perry began in 1925, founded by Arthur Perry and the company continues to be owned and managed by the Perry family to this day, having recently moved into our new 100,000 sq.foot facility.

Due to our continuing success over recent years, we are now looking to recruit a full-time Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team. This role will be suitable for someone who is willing to put in the work to progress in their role

The ideal candidate would have previous experience working as a purchase Ledger clerk or as an Accounts Assistant and be a hands-on individual that is committed to delivering to high standards.

Please note this role will involve a substantial amount of administration duties to start with.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Purchase Ledger

  • Entering and coding invoices
  • Paying suppliers
  • Processing expenses
  • Creating new supplier accounts
  • Manage Petty cash

Accounts Administration

  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Generate Customer invoices
  • Answer customer queries by e-mail and telephone
  • Filing
  • Assistance with year-end audits

Reporting

  • Producing monthly reports in preparation for Management
  • Perform monthly end procedures
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Accruals & Prepayments

Relationship Building

  • Build relations with suppliers and customers
  • Reporting directly the financial director
  • Liaising with members of staff to ensure month end deadlines
  • Carry out credit controller duties as when required

Other Duties

Carry out credit controller duties as when require
