Job Description: Sales Development Team Lead

Reporting to: New Business Sales Director

Purpose: Create new business sales opportunities

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to lead and shape the Sales Development function at LaunchPad (www.launchpadrecruits.com), a fast-growing SaaS business whose goal is to become the global market leader in recruitment automation technology.

The Client Solutions team is the front line between LaunchPad and our prospective customers. We are looking for people that take pride in their work and have a genuine passion for our technology and how it can impact the companies we do business with.

As the Sales Development Team Lead, you will report to the New Business Sales Director and play a key role in developing new pipeline opportunities to grow the business. You will be responsible for uncovering opportunities at large enterprise accounts using a variety of inbound and outbound prospecting techniques, with the goal of opening up a conversation that will position LaunchPad’s recruitment automation platform as a possible solution to a key business problem.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders at major global brands who each hire thousands of people a year. By introducing them to LaunchPad you have the opportunity to help these businesses deliver an exceptional candidate experience and hire talent in a fairer and more efficient way. This role also offers the opportunity to shape the Sales Development function and to lead the team as it grows.

In LaunchPad you will be joining a team who are experts in their fields, serious about making people successful and who come from a diverse range of backgrounds.


  • Meet/exceed a quota of sales accepted opportunities and quarterly pipeline goals
  • Research, map and prospect into strategic accounts in order to build relationships and secure introductory meetings with senior talent acquisition executives
  • Qualify opportunities
  • Become an expert in the LaunchPad value proposition
  • Use Salesforce to keep track of activity and pipeline development
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Marketing, Partnerships and Account Management teams
  • Find new, effective ways to engage senior Talent Acquisition professionals
  • As the team grows this role will require the mentoring and leadership of new hires

  • 1-2 years Sales Development experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourceful in finding, building and nurturing relationships with key decision makers and leaders
  • Understanding of a variety of strategies for prospecting, including email, phone calls, social selling, research, account mapping, etc.
  • Strong organisational skills a must
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Understanding of HR/Recruitment/Technology is not essential but will be preferred
